Heath Slocum Joins BioMech

Slocum was approached by BioMech to test the AccuLock ACE putting system in the 2014 PGA Tour off-season to eliminate preventable errors from his putting stroke.

Recognizing the putter’s ability to address typical short-comings often associated with the short game, Slocum incorporated the more physiologically appropriate putter and natural putting stance into his game for the 2015 PGA Tour.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

In 2000 Slocum competed in Qualifying School and earned Buy.com Tour (now Web.com Tour) privileges. Slocum then became the second person to ever earn a “battlefield promotion” to the PGA Tour in 2001 by winning three Buy.com Tour events in the same season, and the second player in Buy.com Tour history to complete 72 holes without a bogey. Slocum’s PGA Tour career highlights include:

  • Four career wins (2010 McGladrey Classic, 2009 The Barclays, 2005 Southern Farm Bureau Classic, 2004 Chrysler Classic of Tucson)
  • Featured in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking
  • Represented the United States at the 2007 World Cup, partnered with Boo Weekley

Get to know Heath by checking out a classic interview with Health by John Maginnes, PGA TOUR veteran and three-time winner on the Nationwide Tour where he talks with Heath Slocum about his time on the Nationwide Tour, his 2009 win at The Barclays and what he’d be doing if he wasn’t a PGA TOUR player.

I’m convinced this is what every player on the tour should play

Selecting your putter is a serious consideration, because in reality half your game is impacted, as well as your back. Once I got my hands on the ACE, the putts and confidence rolled in and the stress on my back lessened. I’m convinced this is what every player on the tour should play and I am proud to be a part of the organization.
